Cotarko GmbH is setting the course for the future: As of September 1, 2026, Olaf Begemann has joined the management team of the Cologne-based specialist in solid forming and aluminum die casting as the new managing director. Together with Tobias Sender, who will remain on the management board, he forms the new leadership duo at the helm of the company.

Olaf Begemann succeeds Markus Krause, who is stepping down from executive management and entering the passive phase of his partial retirement following the successful transformation of the company. Under the leadership of Markus Krause, Cotarko has established a strong, sustainable position as an independent, high-performance system supplier in the automotive sector as well as in emerging industrial markets.

In Olaf Begemann, Cotarko gains extensive management and industry expertise. Going forward, he will support Tobias Sender in both strategic and operational development. In addition to his executive board function, he assumes the role of Area Manager for Hall R. The executive team’s shared focus lies on the targeted expansion of manufacturing capabilities in forging, die casting, and machining, advancing innovative lightweight solutions, and deepening collaborative customer relationships worldwide.
