Cotarko GmbH is a young company that is still able to look back on more than 60 years of experience in industrial forging for the automotive industry. Our company dates back to the forge put into operation in 1950 in the main factory of Ford Germany in Cologne – we have been trading under the name Cotarko GmbH since 2011.

Our company is an independent subsidiary of Ford-Werke GmbH and manufactures forged blanks as well as machined and ready-to-install parts for the automotive industry. Our high-tech forge is available to all companies involved in the value chain in automotive manufacturing or other industrial sectors – regardless of brand and OEM.

Strong growth in new technologies

In the automotive market, Cotarko produces proven components for chassis, transmission, engine and drive train applications.

In addition, we are increasingly manufacturing special components for electric motors and hybrid transmissions for the growing e-mobility market and developing forged products for wind turbines. All this means we are well prepared for future challenges in the field of new technologies.

Team

A skilled and motivated team is the key to success at our company. Our approximately 280 employees from 13 different countries undergo continuous training and further education. We are proud to offer vocational training to young people in different professions within our company on a regular basis. This ensures that our team is always ideally placed to master the challenges posed by constant innovations.

History

Milestones from over 60 years of company history

The origins of our company date back to 1950, when the forge was put into operation in Hall G at Ford in Cologne This has been followed by over 60 years of company history, characterised by successes, innovations and expansions in products and services.
