Precise spline rolling for optimized transmission shaft blanks
Wedge rolling (cross wedge rolling) is our preferred process for the production of rotationally symmetrical workpieces with widely varying cross-sections. The blank is formed at 1100 °C to 1250 °C between two counter-rotating tools.
This process is particularly material-saving, as it enables “near-net-shape” production and massively reduces the amount of flash.
