Ring rolling

Seamless rings for transmission and differential components

Cotarko relies on a combined process of upsetting and radial and axial rolling for the production of heavy-duty rings.

Seamless rings are produced in a temperature range of 1100 °C to 1250 °C, which are mainly used in differential gears.

Efficiency through precision

The combination of eccentric presses and special radial-axial rolling mills enables us to achieve exceptional dimensional accuracy. This allows us to design bright rolled chains with very small dimensions, which minimizes the amount of material used.

  • Machinery: 2 state-of-the-art rolling mills.

  • Dimensions: Ring diameter up to 280 mm with a rolling height of up to 80 mm.

  • Performance: Rolling forces of 1250 kN ensure excellent surface quality.

Special features:

  • Rolling blanks can be designed with low allowance as finished part
  • Especially good surface quality through rolling process
  • Unfinished surfaces = finished surfaces can be taken into account on the product
  • Environmentally friendly process thanks to low material use

Sustainability through resource conservation

Ring rolling is considered one of the most environmentally friendly forming processes in the metal industry. Thanks to the extremely low material loss and the possibility of using unprocessed surfaces directly as functional surfaces, we make an active contribution to the resource efficiency of your components.
